Best pen I've ever used January 3, 2008 Reader Pane (USA) I'm picky about my writing instruments, and the Zebra F301 is my favorite pen. I prefer it to even expensive fountain pens. The tip moves across the page smoothly and leaves a very consistent ink stripe--never blotchy or thin. The line thickness is medium-to-fine which I like since it's much more precise than a Pilot Roller Ball or other gel pens. The ink dries quickly as well so smearing is never a problem. Even though my workplace provides office supplies, I buy my own Zebra pens.
Postage Rate is ridiculous November 10, 2007 M. Goldman The postage rate for the four ball point pens was too expensive...Love the zebra pens and there were no problems with the service, but I was truly, disappointed in the postage rate only...
Best ballpoint pen August 9, 2007 J. Morton (San Francisco, CA USA) I generally hate ballpoint pens. For years, I carried one for doing crossword puzzles, and kept a Pilot Razor on hand for actual writing and drawing. This all changed when I got this Zebra pen. Now it is the only pen I carry in my pocket. The pen writes smoothly and allows a really nice range of expression. If you want thick dark lines, it will draw thick dark lines; if you want light delicate lines, it will do that too. Great pen!
The Best Quality Afforable Pen You Can Buy March 11, 2007 James Koenig (Minnesota) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Zebra 301 Pens are the best quality, low-cost writing instruments available. As a student and as a clinician and writer, I have continually sought out a comfortable, affordable, quality pen. I have found such a pen in the Zebra 301 series. It has a smooth stainless steel barrel with a rubber grip near the tip for comfort. It has a pocket clip and has a clickable plunger to expose the writing tip. This is superior to twist pens which tend to untwist causing the writing tip to disappear. The pens come in three colors, red, black, and blue. All also come in fine and medium widths. If you want a quality affordable writing pen, this is the one to buy. You can buy more costly pens (Cross pens, etc.), but the quality will not be signisficantly greater than these Zebra pens. Buy them in bulk for economy. You will want to own more than one, for anyone who uses this pen will tend to slip it in their pocket. So buy a bunch of them and then if you "lose" several to friends, you will have many back-ups. The pens come with affordable ink barrel inserts as well. This is a terrific pen, cheap, and available at most Wal-Mart and office stores. Jim "Konedog" Koenig
Great pen March 10, 2005 Walter Reade (Appleton, WI United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is my new favorite pen. It is one of the few reasonably-priced pens that doesn't look cheap. It writes well, is sturdy, and feels good in the hand.
