Product Description Sterling Silver Cisele - Based on an English seventeenth century snuff box. A striking cross hatched design in black lacquer on a sterling silver base. 23K gold plated trim and engraved 18K gold nib. Yes. The Parker Sonnet Premier will surely become one of your most valued possessions. Glistening finishes in gold and silver or colorful lacquers make this an impeccable choice. This remarkable collection combines all the traditional Parker values of craftsmanship quality and style.

Beautiful Fine Pen August 8, 2008 Pankaj Gupta (New York, NY) This is a very fine beautiful pen. I was making a choice between a montblanc and this, and Parker won my heart over. The design is bold, at the same time sublime. The silver and gold tones go together perfect. Having owned a Pelican, Montblanc and this Parker (besides another Parker from a few years back), I have to say this pen looks and feels very genuine. Although a 50c pen probably serves the same purpose, there is a world of difference in taking joy in writing, be it your own scribbles, or signing important deals.
Try it with a medium point for better flow December 19, 2007 Ethan A. Winning (Walnut Creek, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As one who has used Parker fountain pens since 1953, and have loved them all, when my 1973 Parker 51 was out for repair, I was given the Parker Sonnet. Though now owned or manufactured in England instead of Janesville, WI and a totally different company, it looks and feels like a Parker. It is weighted nicely and, other than the fine point, it is an excellent pen. The fine point is a matter of preference, and I prefer broad for the flow as the nib skims across the page. Medium is almost as good and excellent for taking notes, while the fine "scratches" though not enough to make it annoying. In fact, the fine point writes through oily hand prints better than the medium. You really have to be a fanatic about penmanship to care. The score I gave it is a "relative 5." I prefer it to the Mont Blanc, to my old Schaeffer, and to the one Pelikan I have. For anyone who enjoys writing with a fountain pen - for anyone who still writes letters (for those under 30, those are pre-email notes), this would make a treasured gift.

Parker Sonnet series is poetry in motion. A classic fountain pen that should be in every collection.
