This is the best fountain pen I've ever owned. The nib isn't scratchy like my other pens, but smooth as glass. I also ordered the converter so I could use my own ink. I am totally thrilled with this purchase.
My only (minor) complaint is that the nib was stained blue, and the pen wrote blue for a few seconds after I loaded the converter. since I didn't put blue ink in the converter, it made me wonder if the pen was used, or simply pretested by someone who was messy.
But the rest of the pen is clean and it works great. I'll most likely buy a second.

This fountain pen writes so smoothly, no skipping, the shaped grip fits my hand, and I wouldn't want to be without one - so I ordered another! The blue ink does smear if it gets wet. Would recommend this pen for beginning fountain pen users or seasoned veterans.

I recently purchased a Yellow Lamy Safari with the Extra Fine Nib and it is wonderful! I write small, so the EF nib works great with my handwriting! I use my Lamy daily and I highly recommend it!
