Excellent Calculator, but not Perfect August 3, 2008 S. Park (New York) I have used this financial calculator for about two weeks now. Compared to the HP one that my friend has, I believe this one is definitely superior. Overall, it is easier to manipulate with this one. One big advantage the TI has over the HP is when computing combinations and permutations: for the TI the fast keys are in place, whereas with an HP you would need to run the formulas manually which is extremely time-consuming. I give this one two thumbs up for people taking the CFA exams. However, one drawback I want to mention is the fact that sometimes the pressed buttons aren't entered; you have to plug in the numbers and symbols pretty slowly in order to be 100% sure that all of those are entered in. I would need a little more practice with the calculator to use it with a little more speed.

I purchased a new calculator. When I opened the shipping box, I found that the packaging was open. I don't know how long the calculator was used for (nor how much battery power is left since the calculator has obviously been in use).
TI BAII Professional Calculator August 3, 2008 RK (Flint, MI) Overall, this product is a great tool for anyone taking finance, accounting or economics. However it can be rather confusing to use since there are so many functions. The user must be careful that each entry is inputted correctly as the calculator will provide an answer but potentially the wrong one. I think the book it comes with could be a little more explanatory with the proper settings for each function. Because of the multiple measures this calculator does, the user must change the settings several times. Overall, it is a good product but very confusing...
nice product but difficut to learn July 29, 2008 Nemesis (MN, USA) I bought this calc for doing my CFA. It is pretty comprehensive and has lot of functions. But the learning curve is huge. Its difficult to locate the keys and the fucntions. The keys are hard and you need to really put force to type in. Otherwise it looks neat . I would have preferred a cover for the calcualtor as well.
Efficient yet difficult to use July 28, 2008 S. PATEL (USA) Its features are really good. The only problem is that it is a little complicated to use compared to other financial calculators...You need to get used to it to be comfortable.
