There is no going back October 16, 2008 P. Shin (New Jersey) The Pilot G2 pens, especially the fine point 0.5mm, are absolutely the best. I am a physician and most of my day consists of writing notes in patients' charts. I can attest to you that nothing writes smoother and clearer than these. I saw other reviewers commenting on there being many duds in a pack of twelve, but I don't find this to be the case. All of them write true out of the box. My entire office of 4 physicians and 1 secretary have now converted to the Pilot G2. My only caveat is that, because this is not a ball point pen, it doesn't go through triplicate forms well (those carbon papers).
perfection July 25, 2008 Allie I have used these pens - and no others - for 10 years! I love them. The black/blue have always worked - perhaps the person who said otherwise forgot to remove the small clear plastic ball at the end of the point. However, I have had the colored pens dry out before the ink runs out.
The best when they work! October 19, 2007 Pen Dude (Philadelphia, PA) I agree with the writer above. These are the absolute best pens out there, and I'm picky, but out of a pack several will be duds!
My favourite pen December 5, 2006 Alex Herder (Paris, France) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Another reviewer of this item mentioned "those people" who are devoted to a certain type of pen and their "going out of their way" to get that specific instrument. I am one of those people, and this is my pen. I have been writing with the G2 for four years now and I would never go back to a simple roller ball. The ink in this pen is really the beginning and the end of the argument. Gel pens write smoothly in general, but unlike other gels this one dries quickly enough for even left-handed people to use it without smudging their words with the trailing heel of the hand. If you buy this pen, you will love the way your writing looks. I even know people who buy the G2 ink refills to put in their Mont Blanc pen bodies it's that good. Whether it's writing a check, composing a sonnett, or just leaving a quick phone message the Pilot G2 is absolutely the best.
IF it works... August 14, 2006 LMC (Fort Kent, ME) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I absolutely LOVE these pens...IF they work! When you buy a package, you never know how many will be duds! When they work, they are smooth and the ink flows freely. I'm starting to reach a point though where I'm not willing to pay so much for cool pens to have several of them malfunction. Not sure if the ones that actually work are worth that price.
