No one can fit everything on teensy little lines. This pen is a unique extra fine tip that is so fine that you can fill out very tiny spaces CLEARLY.
There are many fine point pens out on the market and pilot has some of the very best on the planet and this extra fine tip is worth the money and has earned the RICH CHICKS Rave Review. We love these because they stay firm, the tips do not bend, and the ink lasts a long time because the point is so fine.
If you are a pen-freak this is an everyday pen you will not lose your temper over if it goes "missing" and yet you can still accomplish great writing with an extraordinary-ordinary everyday pen. Unless they forgot my other 11 pens, this is not a pack of 12. Amazon please fix the description.
Other than that these pens are by far the best than any other i have used.
The only thing better is the RT (retractable model) June 5, 2008

If you do any serious amount of writing and you haven't used these pens then you really must. Ink drys almost instantly even when writing on slick book pages. Never had a problem with them.

There may be better mass produced disposable pens out there, but I have yet to find one that even comes close. To me the Pilot Precision V5 extra fine is the gold standard. When I go to a store and am in need of a pen, I look for this one first. Often, I have to settle for a clearly inferior pen that looked similar - and while I am using the substitute I am longing for the precise control that the V5 gives, usually softly cursing the person who's job it is to order stock for said store, because obviously they know nothing about quality pens.
It doesn't bleed. It doesn't leak. It lays down a beautiful, solid line. The black isn't a muddy black-ish gray. It is BLACK. The control is a wonder of calligraphic science. It is balanced. If there is a mistake with line-work in a drawing, it is impossible to blame this instrument. It is simply, your mistake. However, make no mistake about it, this pen is the best pen I have ever used.
