The best pen...WHEN it still works (before it clogs) November 6, 2008 colababy (United States) I have a love/hate relationship with this pen. I've been using these for 10 years. It's by far my favorite pen to write with. However, I've only completely used up the gel ink in a handful of these. The rest seem to clog before I finish up the ink. Sometimes this happens when the ink is still almost full. I have tried over 100 of these in V5 and V7 from different retailers. In the meantime, I am always on the lookout for alternatives, but still buy this pen when I feel like wasting half of what I buy.
I agree...best pen in the world! August 26, 2008 B. Khatibi I agree w/the other reviews in that this pen is really the best pen i've ever used. I am very big on writing utensils and a big fan of this pen. This pen writes smoother than any pen (including really high end pens like parker, monte blanc). it's lasts a very long time and gives an even distribution of the ink. feels lightweight. it doesn't leak through the page and dries quickly. comes in variety of colors. inevitably makes your handwriting look better than it really is (I get the most compliments when I write w/this pen). I have a hard time finding this pen in stores however, so I really hope that Pilot isn't going to stop producing them.
DID NOT SEND ME a 12 pack April 12, 2008 W. M. Alexander, Jr. (NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered a 12 pack, instead they sent me 2 pens. I am very disappointed by this and will not purchase from them again. I would advise anyone who purchases from them to not expect the quantity that they ordered.
Fantastic pen February 11, 2008 JAllen (California) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This pen is the best. Never fails to perform well. It never skips or malfunctions, until it runs out of ink.:D
Writing becomes a pleasure December 6, 2007 N. Basu (NY) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well, I saw a review written by a medical resident and felt I had to chime in. OK, one of the things that I dread is writing notes, and in medicine/surgery, all that is done is note-writing...history, physical, pre-pre op, pre-op, op note, post op note...pod 1 note....give me a break! For every minute spent seing a patient, 10 minutes are spent writing notes. I hate writing these damn notes... well, as crazy as this sounds, this pen makes writing notes tolerable. OK, I am an instrument snob. I analyze every detail of the instrument that I use. As far as this pen goes, it has one major flaw. It is not balanced very well, and it is too light. It just doesn't feel like the center of mass is where it should be. Then why did I give this pen 5 stars? The precision with which this pen writes makes up for the lack of balance. I can write all my labs within that small margin I have for labs with this pen. The ink flows so smooth. There is so little friction with the pen. The tip is truly amazing.
