This refill also ships with a white adapter which is the universal adapter that will allow this refill to be used inside any pen that accepts the Parker Style refill. With the white adapter OFF, this refill will fit all Fisher Space Pens that accept the standard refills and not the small, thin refills that are normally associated with multi-action pens that have 3 or more refills inside the pen. The Fisher Space Pen ink is visco-elastic and highly thixotropic which means it has the consistency of chewing gum. The cylinder of the Fisher ink cartridge is pressurized with nitrogen at 45psi and is hermetically sealed. Space pens lay down a smooth, dark line and contain a pigment that is archival and very difficult to remove from a paper surface. The Space Pens pressurized ball point refills are machined with extremely high tolerances. The Space Pen ball point refill has approximately 12,000 linear feet of write-out and has a 100 year shelf-life which means if you purchase extra refills and store them, they will not dry out for 100 years. The Fisher Space Pen refills can also be used with any pen that accepts the Parker style refill provided the white Parker adapter (enclosed with all Fisher refills) is pressed on to the back end of the Fisher refill. NOTE: This refill will NOT fit the Fisher Quad or Multi-Action pens as they have a much smaller, thinner refill.
