Economics students, here's a cheap tool October 15, 2008 R. G McFadden (Virginia, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ever had some retromingent old professor modify a diagram on the board -- tweak of a demand curve here, shift of supply there, new equilibrium everywhere -- that is completely unintelligible when you get your notes out? Start with blue, change a color every time the old... fogey changes something. You'll be able to recreate the step much more easily. High tech advice: remember which order you used the colors in!
Most efficient pens I've used September 7, 2008 J. Danah As a pharmacy student, these pens help me in ways I cannot put a price-tag on. I used to buy these individually in a store but this saves me a good bit of money, and is convenient. I like to take notes with different colors so I can associate colors to different pieces of information by relevance. If I had to actually carry around many pens with me people would think I'm strange. I have not used another type of pen for over a year, so I can assure you, I am very familiar with these works of art. I have noticed that the green ink dries/runs out a bit faster than all the other colors. But a 3.5-color pen is still better than a 1-color pen, and at this price you can't really go wrong.
there great June 12, 2008 The..chef (New York) When your job requires different ink colors on your documents and you dont like having to search for the colors its great to have one pen for it all.
Four BIC pens in one February 2, 2008 K. W. Schreiter (Conshohocken, PA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This box contains a total of twelve individually packaged 4-color BIC ball point pens. The six blue-shelled pens (as shown in the Amazon photo) are medium point and the six orange-shelled ones are fine point. Each pen features retractable red, blue, green and black inks. Readily having four colors at once is useful for any number of professions including engineers, nurses, teachers, etc. I've also used this to add color to newspaper charts and stock listings. I could not find any of these pens at my local Target or Office Depot so I ordered this box of twelve from Amazon. Refills are also available, but as other reviewers have noted, the box of refills is currently more expensive than a box of brand new pens. Beat the shipping costs and order these in bulk: put a few in a drawer and give the extra pens to your friends.
All right by me !!! July 28, 2007 Matthew G. Sherwin 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
These four color pens came along in the 1960s and 1970s and wow, how me and my little sister had fun playing with them, writing and doodling using four different colors of ink from just one pen! It seemed somewhat magical to us kids at the time; but these days my experience tells me that today's better constructed four color pens are very, very useful. Yes, you actually DO get four colors in each pen: black, blue, red (they sometimes call the red color orange) and green. The pen is somewhat "fatter" than most pens because it contains a slender ink tube for each of the four colors of ink inside it. To choose which color you write with just push down on the one of the four color coded tips at the very top of the pen. In addition, as another reviewer and the product correctly note, orange (red) is the fine point pen and blue is the medium point pen. This gives you another great feature because you get a fine point pen and a medium point pen in one! Great for people plotting data and recording information--not to mention those of us who still use these pens for doodling! SMILE The pens are very sturdy and they should last a long time. You can purchase ink refill tubes also; I believe they are for sale on this website. Overall, this compact yet sturdy four color pen by Bic really saves the day when you want four colors including black and blue but you just don't have space or the inclination to carry four different pens with you. I highly recommend this pen for anyone who needs such a device.
